• provide a link between the North and the South, individuals and institutions, different sectors of society, the past, present and future
• promote African culture, ancient and modern, as well as traditional knowledge adapted to modern times, and sustainable development friendly technologies
• inform on cultural specificities, local cultural and social conditions, and specific topics such as water, reforestation, desertification, energy, education, health, etc.

AfrikaViva has activities on three different levels :

• general public with conferences, seminars and various projects
• African and European NGO's and institutions with assistance in fundraising and selection of nominees for various awards
• African civil society (fundraising, support of various projects, etc.)
